The APEC CEO Summit 2012 was held on September 7-8, 2012 on Russky Island, Vladivostok, Russia. More than 700 business leaders of major Asia Pacific companies took part in the event.
With theme “Addressing Challenges. Expanding Possibilities” CEO Summit sessions concentrated on the issues that were APEC priorities in 2012 including globalization, energy security and human resources as the key elements of economic development. On November 10-12, 2011 APEC CEO Summit was held in Honolulu, USA.The Summit attracted nearly 1000 of the leading Business and Thought Leaders from around the Asia Pacific.
Based on the premise that the future is something we actively create, not something that happens to us, the Summit focused its plenary discussion on policy choices and business decisions based on the trends and forces at work in the region and in the world, in order to forge a more connected, innovative, dynamic region.The APEC CEO Summit theme was “The Future. Redefined.”
About the APEC CEO Summit 2010
On November 12-13, 2010 the APEC CEO Summit was held in Yokohama, Japan. The Summit attracted over 1000 of the leading Business and Thought Leaders from around the Asia Pacific.
Given the cautious recovery that economies around the world were facing in 2010, business leaders were cautiously optimistic about the prospect of the global economy. The Summit discussion revolved around encouraging governments to work alongside the business community in reigniting the global economy. This included encouragement for governments to further liberalize trade and investment in the region, in particular through the establishment of a Free Trade Agreement of Asia Pacific (FTAAP).
The APEC CEO Summit theme was “Asia Pacific as the Driving Force for Global Growth: Seeking Prosperity After Crisis.”
About the APEC CEO Summit 2009
On November 12-14, 2009 the APEC CEO Summit was held in Singapore. More than 1200 of the world’s top business leaders heard from APEC Leaders and CEOs to discuss the development of the global and APEC economy.
The APEC CEO Summit was held at a significant moment for the Asia Pacific region when the global economy was beginning to emerge from the financial crisis. A number of trade protectionist measures had been introduced by APEC economies, and the dialogue between business leaders and senior officials from government was important and encouraging during the Summit.
The APEC CEO Summit theme was “Rebuilding the Global Economy: Crisis and Opportunity.
